Heroes Chapter Eleven: I am Sylar

April 26, 2009

When we last left our Heroes, Nathan was going to own up to his mistakes and try and talk with the President. Unfortunately Sylar beat him to it and already held a press conference as Nathan. I have a feeling there’s going to be a crazy amount of shapeshifting in this episode so try and keep up.

Heroes Chapter Ten: 1961

April 26, 2009

1961 can be turned around and still be the same year. I’m not sure why that’s important, but I’m pretty sure that why the picked it over 1962. Well we last left our heroes digging up graves for no particular reason and we now find them still digging up graves for no particular reason. It seems like Angela Petrelli has lost sense of urgency, but not her sense of dramatic suspense.

Heroes Chapter Nine: Turn and Face the Stranger

April 26, 2009

So in recent episodes, Daphne died for real this time, Sylar got shapeshifting powers and the Petrelli’s are all back together (even Claire). That’s about all you need to know. And clearly the title refers to Sylar’s new power (or does it? yeah probably). Is anyone else a little annoyed that Sylar has like 1000 powers now, but only uses like two at a time and seems to forget most of them after a few episodes.

Heroes Chapter Eight: Into Asylum

April 5, 2009

So a little recap, Someone is giving people with abilities to Danko (probably Sylar, who else…) Peter is working with Angela Petrelli, Nathan saved Claire and Micah is Rebel! Looks like the Petrelli’s are going to have to clean up another mess they’ve started and we see the full extent of Micah’s powers sometime soon. I doubt this episode will be as good as the last, but maybe we’ll get some cool action going on.

Heroes Chapter Seven: Cold Snap

March 31, 2009

I have no idea what the title of this episode refers to… could be some hero with some kind of cold power? Or the power to give colds? Seriously though, would it be that hard to have a creative title instead of one that blatantly refers to a specific character… I’m just saying… someone gets paid to do these.

As far I can tell they don’t plan to show who Rebel is anytime soon. They might do it in the season finale in the middle of whatever big brawl they plan to do to end the chapter. I know Heroes doesn’t like to bring back old characters or continue story arcs , but it would make a ton of sense if it was Hana Gitelman (aka Wireless, the lady who contacted Ted Sprague, radioactive man, in Chapter 1) but somehow I think it’s unlikely.

Also, the opening scene is of Danko shaving. It’s really weird and kind of creepy…

Heroes Chapter Six: Shades of Gray

March 29, 2009

Oh the title is Shades of Gray. Maybe like Gabriel Gray and his dad? Oh they’re so witty…

Looks like Hiro and Ando are also back in action for this episode. So is Tracy. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll find out who Rebel is… But first what about the Puppet Man?!?!

Heroes Chapter Five: Exposed

March 11, 2009

This episode is called Exposed. I can see how that relates to being Fugitives, but c’mon, Exposed really makes everyone think of something else: camera film! Oh wait that’s exposures. Now what was I think of? Oh right, so in the last episode we found out that Daphne is still alive. Way to pull a Tony Almeida. And this show has more of Claire being an idiot… but maybe we’ll get to find out who Rebel is.

Heroes Chapter Four: Cold Wars

March 1, 2009

So when we last left Heroes. Claire broke up her family and then Noah Bennet was kidnapped by the three amigos (Peter, Matt and Mohinder). Turns out Parkman thinks that he can’t read Noah’s mind because Noah is too well trained. Does anybody remember when Parkman forced an answer out of Angela Petrelli? Oh I love cross-seasonal plot holes. And I’m sure more will be coming. Also there was no voice-over at the beginning of the episode. That’s odd…

Dollhouse Review

March 1, 2009

So I have to say was a little excited about Dollhouse. First of all I would watch anything Eliza Dushku is in – Buffy, Tru Calling, Bring It On – and second I would watch anything Joss Whedon makes – Buffy, Firefly, Dr. Horrible Sing-Along-Blog (yeah I know it’s not all gold). I still am a little skeptical about Dollhouse. It seems to be a mix of Alias and My Own Worst Enemy and I only like one of those shows and it was cancelled, but I’m definitely willing to give a try. (9pm Fridays on Fox/Global)

If you live it in the US, you can watch it here:
